Being able to hold in your hands a part of our natural history from millions of years ago is incredible, don't you think?
When creating our play kits, we always start with the question, 'How can we spark curiosity about our planet's natural history?' From there, we talk about what sparked our interest, how we support our little one's interest, and how we can incorporate resources that are reusable and serve this purpose.
For us, watching people unearth our history, hold pieces of history in their hands, is what inspires us to learn more about our planet's amazing past. It's what starts those big questions that lead to great conversations. It is what sparks curiosity and kin with our natural world and, it's what helps us to understand our place in the world and how we can contribute.
Our Fossil Dig Kit is one of our favourites. It has lots of elements that create opportunities for children to discover , learn, and extend their curiosity about our natural world and the past.

Our kit contains:
Real Fossils and Minerals; shark tooth, black ammonite, goniatite, pyrite and rose quartz
Metal Spade
Sand
Tumblestones
Log
Paleontologist Peg
Resin Dinosaur Skeleton Puzzle
Children can discover the fossils and minerals by digging in the sand, examining them, and then completing the log.
It acts as an invitation to play, an excavation site perhaps? With a Paleontologist uncovering the past and piecing together a Dinosaur skeleton.
The kit can be reused again and again, something we are passionate about. The kit has been created with two wonderful small businesses Sarah's Pegs who painted the Paleontologist Peg and Toddler Approves Resin who makes the Dinosaur Skeleton Puzzle.
